Cat eats spider webs

Last weekend, some of our neighbors had a few spider webs in their front yard. They sd they were able to remove them from the window, but I found it odd that the spiders went outside, and that even the little spider webs hung on so long.

On Saturday, when I went out to get something, I saw a cat running around the yard and eating the spider webs. He must have seen the webs and found them disgusting. So I took a picture of him eating them. I thought it was really funny!

What do you think of this? Have you ever seen a cat eat spider webs? Do you think he is sick, or just being funny?

I have seen my cat eat webs before but only the kind that have small insects in it. I don’t think it’s an unusual thing, it’s probably a cat thing.

How the heck would a cat get these spiders in the first place? Is this some sort of pet store bt or something?

Yes, that is how they are getting those spiders. I have seen cats eat spider webs, but if there is a big piece in the corner of the window where the cat can stick its head in, the cat can eat those webs!

I’ve seen my cat eat a spider that was hanging on my balcony. I assumed it was getting the spider to move, but he must have been bored. I don’t think cats eat spiders but if they do, he definitely wasn’t the one to do it.

I didn’t really think that spiders were that big a problem for cats. I mean, my cat eats lots of other stuff, and we don’t mind it.

So, I guess it’s not something to worry about, is it? It just seems like a bit of a waste of an arachnid.

I have seen my cat chew on some spider webs, but I don’t know what to make of it. He wasn’t acting sick or anything.

Is this a habit?

My cats eat spider webs all the time. I’m not really sure why. I’m not worried about them as long as they don’t feel sick, etc. I’m not sure if that’s a normal cat thing.

I haven’t seen my cat eat a spider, but he has chewed on a webs hanging off some trees in the yard. He has been in his yard for a few years. I didn’t know they were harmful to cats until I read this article. I’m not sure if that’s a normal thing.

My cat loves to eat anything he can grab on to. I don’t think he’d be bothered by a spider (if it didn’t jump on him). I’m not going to be worried about it, I just don’t want to see him try and eat one because they might have been “stuck” in the webs. I’ve seen him try to bite other things on the wall and door and they aren’t toxic.

I read that cats are generally not bothered by spiders. I am so glad we read your article. My cat has been on the roof twice. He has walked on the wall (where there is a window screen) and he came back with scratches. I know that this spiderweb is poisonous, but why do spiders put them there and the cats have to eat it?

I live in the city and we have many spiders around. My cat eats spiders, crickets, and ants. He has even eaten a snake (he found it on the road.) He does jump into the bathtub though. I would never feed him spiders. I do like his behavior though, he is usually very tame.

My cat doesn’t seem to be interested in spiders. We have very many in our basement, and he just walks by them and looks at them, but not in any way to try and grab them or eat them. We have also seen several spider webs (mostly in our basement and garage), but we have also seen many dead spiders in the last couple of months and my cat didn’t even give them a look.

I know we have many spiders in our house and my cats does not care about them at all. But my oldest cat will eat almost anything at all. He will eat grass, worms, mice, frogs and frogs and tadpoles, etc. He is about 4 years old and has eaten many things. He does not mind.

I would like to add that one of my cat’s favorite food is grass. He seems to love it. He has also been known to eat insects (but not spiders) out of our yard and in our kitchen.

I used to love to feed my cats insects but I moved and didn’t want to feed them (they were very finicky) so I stopped for a while but now I want to start agn. Should I try a different kind of insect?

You can do it. I feed the cricket’s (crickets) (I used to feed them when I had 4 cats) and also add them in other foods. It really does increase their appetite. I don’t give them anymore so you may have to ask your veterinarian if it is okay to add them to the food.

My cat will not eat bugs. She does not like them. But she can eat grass. And she has not been able to find a thing to eat in my kitchen, but she would go and eat grass. I love my cat and I do feed her but she never does eat bugs.

It really is quite different when it comes to eating bugs. Many people enjoy eating them and my cat has never eaten them. My cat loves me and is not afrd to touch me or anything else and I love my cat.

My cat really doesn’t like any kind of insect, however, he loves to play with a small mouse we found in our house (my husband gave it to him a couple of years ago), so, if I had to get him any kind of bug, I’d rather it be a mouse.

The best food for dogs is one that has real meat. I don’t care what the manufacturer says. Their food is very low quality, the manufacturers don’t want to spend the money to make it high quality. There is so much low quality dog food on the market.

I am looking for an article that addresses the differences between commercial and homemade diets. If you have one, I would be grateful for your help. Thank you.

I have three cats. One is the oldest and is getting old. I just found out that he has cancer. He is on steroids for it. I have a new girlie cat and the other two male cats. I found out about their
